Step 1. The Bishop and Young Mens President identify the adult support for the Crew: They assign or call a Crew Advisor and Associate Advisor(s) (must be at least 2 adults to meet BSA
rules). Also, they assign or call a Crew Committee Chairman.
(Chris) This is the President of our quorum. In his spare time he is also the Bishop of our ward. His knowledge and support are keys to a making Venturing work in our
quorum.

To start with, he needs to get our Crew good advisors to help us and to make sure they are trained in how to support Venturing.
He also needs to organize a crew committee to give us more support.

(Bishop) One of the best choices is make the man who is the Young Mens President and Priests Quorum Advisor the Venturer Crew Advisor, also.

Then give him a couple of real good assistants to spread the work around.
They should be both assistant quorum advisors and assistant Crew advisors, so that priesthood and Venturing are all one program.

There are other ways to put this thing together, also.
In our quorum, there are two Assistant Quorum Advisors, Bro. Gull and Bro. Jorgensen. Bro. Gull is our Crew advisor and Bro. Jorgensen assists him with Venturing.
(Chris) Bishop Lewis has assigned himself to be the Crew committee chairman. I think he wants to make sure that his quorum has a good program.

Our YM President, Bro. Mascarenas, serves as Co-chairman of the Crew Committee, so he can oversee everything when the Bishop can’t be there.
