My name is Chris. I’m the First Assistant to the Bishop in our Priest’s Quorum Presidency and President of our Venturer Crew.
Venturing helps us have a great quorum because it brings us closer together.

(Jared) I like Venturing because our leaders help us plan good activities which will prepare us for our future lives.
|
|
|
(J.D.) Venturing is fun because we get to do a lot of interesting things, and we are doing them with our friends, and these are things that we have planned ourselves.
|

|
|
|
(Jay) Venturing has taught me a lot about how to be a leader, which I know will help me on my mission and later in life.
|
|
|
(Chris) We understand that everything we do in our quorum should help us to grow in our Priesthood. This includes the activities we do in our quorum’s Venturing program.
We start each quorum meeting by saying what we call the Young Mens Theme. This helps us remember the purposes for everything we do in our quorum:

“I am a son of my Heavenly Father. He has entrusted me with ‘the Priesthood of Aaron, which holds the keys of the ministering of angels, and of the gospel of repentance, and of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins.’ The Aaronic Priesthood helps me to:
- Become converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ and live by its teachings.
- Serve faithfully in priesthood callings and fulfill the responsibilities of priesthood offices.
- Give meaningful service
- Prepare and live worthily to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood and temple ordinances.
- Prepare to serve an honorable full time mission.
- Obtain as much education as possible.
- Prepare to become a worthy husband and father.
- Give proper respect to women, girls, and children.
As I center my life in Christ and honor each covenant that I make with my Heavenly Father, I will fulfill the measure of my
creation and receive the blessings of happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.”
