How Can I Know When I Have a Good Program?

    •  Ten Indicators of a Quality Venturer Crew

    •  "When Cubs are excited about becoming Scouts, when Scouts are excited about becoming Varsity Scouts, when Varsity Scouts are excited about becoming Venturers."

    • Venturing Per-for'-mance*: This is a very good, cover-all-the-bases way to assess how well an Aaronic Priesthood Venturing is operating on a month to month basis. It can be used in a lot of ways, to evaluate, to motivate, to teach, to set goals.  Per-for'-mance has 24 items covering all of the major functions in Aaronic Priesthood Venturing.  Each item scores 0 to 100, making 2400 points possible.  Leaders and young men of Crew 9791 associated with the Priests Quorum in the Taylorsville Gardens 1st ward have used Per-for'-mance every month for several years to evaluate their Venturing program and set goals for improvement. Over the past year or so (2003-2004) they have generally scored in the range of 2000 to 2200, which indicates that they are implementing Venturing quite well.
