To help bond and promote unity each Crew should adopt some form of uniform or insignia that uniquely identifies and unites the young men as Venturers and
members of the same quorum. This is called the Crew's Distinctive Dress Identity (DDI). DDI may be a T-shirt or golf shirt with a logo chosen by the crew. It may be the green or tan Scout or
Venturer field uniform with green shoulder loops. It may be a formal blue blazer jacket with BSA tie, or any other distinctive dress uniform (i.e., jackets, T-shirts, hats, etc.). Crew officers, or a
special Crew committee, might design the identity item and request approval of Crew membership and Crew committee. Aaronic Priesthood Venturing Crews might consider defining both a field uniform (perhaps a
T-shirt or golf shirt with logo of their own design) and a dress uniform (perhaps a tie to wear with a white shirt). To qualify as an "official" Venturing DDI the clothing item must display some
Venturing insignia, such as, the letter E, the word Venturer, etc.
Each Crew should write and adopt a Crew code and bylaws (See Venturer Leadership Handbook, pp A-79 and Y-34). This may serve as a quorum/crew mission
statement and could incorporate the Venturer Code along with a Priesthood purpose statement or scriptures (such D&C 4). It should also spell out the rules under which the Crew will operate.
